The Public Scoping hearing on the racetrack project (Motorsports Entertainment Complex on Staten Island) has been scheduled! The purpose of this hearing is to inform the agency of what environmental and socioeconomic issues should be analyzed in the Environmental Impact Statement for the racetrack project. On this website is the hearing notice, plus a link to the developers' proposed "Scope of Work" for the Environmental Impact Statement -- saying what the developers plan to cover in it. Take some time to read it!

For the upcoming April 27 hearing, be sure to put your concerns about the racetrack in writing -- it will weigh more strongly in the record! You can put it in letter form, directed to:

The project is officially called, "proposed Motorsports Entertainment Complex on Staten Island, CEQR No. 05DCP043R."

Submit a copy at the hearing (or mail it to them so that they receive it by May 5).
